Muslims today celebrate Eid Ul Fitr
Following 30 days of fasting, Muslims around the country are today celebrating Eid Ul Fitr.

Eid is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

In Fiji, Muslim men attend the mosque for Eid prayer.

On this day samai, a dish of fine, sweet vermicelli noodles mixed in warm milk along with sweets and Indian snacks are served to guests visiting throughout the day.

The traditional Eid greeting is Eid Mubarak, and it is frequently followed by a formal embrace.
