The Education Minister has issued a warning to all the teachers to show professionalism and commitment to their profession.

Bole said that any teacher who during school hours is seen out in towns or cities or not attending classes while at school, do not show commitment and dedication will be disciplined and is a sign that they are not fit to teach.

He said that the Ministry wants to improve school performance and expects nothing less than the teachers best in the classroom.

Meanwhile, more than a quarter of Fiji's total student populations whose forms have been processed have qualified for the Transport Assistance Scheme.

However Education Minister, Filipe Bole said that a number of forms which were incorrectly filled, forms not stamped by school and those assessed as doubtful have been returned to the schools for proper verification processes before it is submitted again.

Bole said that 450 schools have had their forms processed and the number is expected to increase as the Ministry is still receiving applications. Students in the Northern Division collected its forms yesterday from their schools.
