Benedito now allowed visitations
Prison inmate Iowane Benedito is now being allowed visitations by the Fiji Corrections Services.

Fiji Corrections Services spokesperson, Ana Tudrau said when Benedito was apprehended and transferred to the Naboro Maximum Corrections Centre on the 7th of March he was not allowed visitations.

In a press statement last week, the Fiji Corrections Services said Benedito was denied visitations after he escaped from prison in March.

The statement added that Benedito was segregated while kept at the Naboro Maximum Corrections Center.

Fiji Corrections Service clarified that the reason for Benedito's segregation is due to him being given the opportunity to give himself up, after the others were apprehended but he did not take advantage of that offer.

Fiji Corrections Service reiterates all inmates who breach the rules will face the consequences of their actions, particularly the loss of privileges including visitations.
