Those are the words of the National Federation Party General Secretary Pramod Rae on revelations of the salary being paid to some overseas consultants in the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
According to Rae, it is sheer injustice on the people who are suffering the effects of the economic downturn while others are being paid more than $12,000 a month in the NCBBF.
Earlier today, the head of the Technical Support Secretariat for the National Council for Building a Better Fiji stressed that he was receiving one third of the fees normally paid to him.
John Samy said he also worked free of charge for 10 months doing preparatory work on the National Council and People's Charter process last year, and he said he has sacrificed a lot by charging a reduced fee to work for the Charter team.
Samy receives an after tax pay of $12,000 a month, a house and a car. Although the NCBBF budget states that Samy's salary is $157500, Swamy said his salary is lower than the budgeted amount.
Swamy revealed these details as questions continue to be raised for the National Council to reveal the salary details of the overseas consultants.
