The Rotary Club of Suva is undertaking a huge drive to take the festive spirit to the disabled children around Viti Levu.
President of the Rotary South Peninsula Sunset Club, Joshila Lal said every year fundraising activities are held for children during the festive season however many forget the real disadvantaged in the society.
Lal added that they are aiming at bringing smiles to the faces of the blind, deaf and disabled children in hostels around Viti Levu.
The Rotary Peninsula Club is working in partnership with Bank of South Pacific where they are inviting customers to come forward and leave a present at any BSP outlet around the country.
Meanwhile, another drive called "Angel Tree Project" sees women from the Prison Fellowship set up tables in towns and cities to raise funds for gifts for the children of prisoners.
According to coordinator Inise Tukana, the children are left out due to the actions of their fathers or mothers and this is wrong. She added Christmas is a time for sharing and everyone should share the Festive spirit.
