The International Monetary Fund has encouraged the government to eliminate price controls.
The team led by Jonathan Dunn have been in the country conducting meetings with government and stakeholders and during a press briefing today revealed that the idea of price control while it is notable, is not an effective means of reaching those that really need the assistance.
Dunn said price controls can also drive investors away.
