Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase was not able to give his statement to the police on his treason complaint this morning as the CID officers were not at the Raiwaqa Police Station in the last hour.
Qarase said he was told to go to the police station but the police officers to take the statement were not present.
Although Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni had stressed that there will be no treason investigation against the interim Prime Minister, members of the interim cabinet and the military council, Qarase said he will still go ahead and give his statement when he is contacted.
