Fiji remains unbeaten at the OFC Futsal Championship after a comprehensive 6-2 win over New Caledonia last night.

Captain Kamal Hassan again led from the front with a double while speedster Roy Krishna got in on the action with his first goal of the tournament.

New Caledonia meanwhile is out of the running after their fourth straight loss.

But, New Caledonia were first to score in the 6th minute. Hassan equalised from the penalty spot on 10 minutes and that's how it stayed until the break.

Krishna hit home in the 24th minute to give Fiji the lead, after which Fiji's lead was further stretched with three goals from Sedrick Dutt, Siga Ali and Hassan.

Uraia Loki put the icing on the cake with a right foot screamer in the 39th minute giving the Fiji side a 6-2 victory over New Caledonia.

Fiji's unbeaten three games record gives them nine points on the points table and look to have the best shot of upsetting the Solomon Islands for the title.

In two other matches last night, Solomons beat Vanuatu 8-3 and New Zealand beat Tahiti 2-1.

Meanwhile, Fiji takes on New Zealand at 4.30 this afternoon.
