Fiji Out of Futsal Soccer Championship

The Fiji 5-a-side soccer team does not have a chance to qualify for the Futsal World Cup after losing their second straight match in the OFC Futsal soccer championship.

The Intiaz Khan coached side went down 2-5 to Vanuatu last night and although they have three games remaining, even a win in all their games won't see them finish in first or second place.

Fiji currently lies in 5th place on the points table with 3 points.

Meanwhile after beating Fiji, Vanuatu has set up an exciting top of the table clash with Solomons tonight at 8, where the winner will be firm favourites to advance to the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Brazil in September.

Fiji will this afternoon at 4, play against Tahiti.
