Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has said that our country's future is truly exciting as people collectively dream of a Fiji that is strengthened by the unity of all citizens.

In his Fiji Day message, Commodore Bainimarama said that as a nation people believe in a Fiji that respects and cherishes all the strands of its many cultures, traditions and history.

Commodore Bainimarama said a common and equal citizenry is the only foundation upon which a modern and democratic Fiji can rest.

He said we as a nation also commit ourselves to leaving behind a better Fiji for all our children.

The Prime Minister said as we get into the Fiji Day celebrations, we should pause for a moment to reflect on what the country that we all call home means to us, our friends and our families.

He said we should also think of what citizens can do to help build a better Fiji for all.

Commodore Bainimarama said Fiji Day is a day for celebration and to join hands and commemorate the things that bind the people together.

He said despite challenges, people have never abandoned the dream to achieve the goals and build a strong nation.
