With just days remaining for the Commonwealth Special Envoy to arrive in the country, hopes are high that Fiji will work with the Commonwealth officials to find the best roadmap to democracy.
Commonwealth's Special Representative Sir Paul Reeves said his main hope is that they find common ground with Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and other key stakeholders.
Reeves who is the former Governor General of New Zealand and one of the architects of Fiji's 1997 constitution, hopes that common ground is also reached in relation to the resumption of the Presidential Political Dialogue Forum.
Sir Paul Reeves said he is also aware of the joint statements sent out by former Prime Ministers Laisenia Qarase and Mahendra Chaudhry to the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum and the Commonwealth.
He also hopes to meet Qarase and Chaudhry next week.
