Six women were among the 27 Methodist Church ministers ordained at Centenary Church in Suva yesterday.
These ministers have completed their six year practical within the church.
Current church president Reverend Ame Tugaue declared and blessed the ministers and deaconesses to set themselves to be examples to the people in the church, in work, in deed, in love, in faith and in holiness.
The service yesterday was also to farewell conference members and 17 retired ministers who have reached 70 years of service in the church.
These include former church president Reverend Tomasi Kanailagi, Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca, Reverend Ilaitia Sevati Tuwere and Reverend Manasa Lasaro.
More than 1,000 people witnessed the service.
