A total of $51,574 has been handed over to WOWS Kids Fiji by the Fiji Football Association to support children battling cancer and their families across the country.
The funds were raised through the 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants and FMF Inter-District Championship, with one dollar from every ticket sold set aside for the charitable organisation.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel says football is not only about winning trophies and developing players but also about making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Patel says Fiji FA remains committed to supporting communities both on and off the field, adding that these contributions reflect the association's responsibility to give back.
He also thanked the thousands of football fans who attended the two major tournaments, saying their support helped raise funds for children battling cancer.
The partnership between Fiji FA and WOWS Kids Fiji was formalised through a memorandum of understanding in 2023, establishing the one-dollar contribution from tournament ticket sales.
