Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has assured members of the public that their submissions on the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2026 will be considered by the Special Committee before the Bill proceeds to its third reading in Parliament next month.

Speaking during the public consultation at the Nadi Civic Centre Hall, Rabuka, who chairs the Special Committee says the views and concerns raised will be discussed during the Committee's deliberations later this month.

The consultation provided an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions, express their views and make submissions on the proposed constitutional amendments.

Rabuka thanked those who attended and contributed to the discussions, including those who made written submissions, while acknowledging the importance of public participation in the constitutional review process.

The next public consultation will be held tomorrow at the Ba Market Hall from 10am to 1pm.
