As the Vodafone Fiji Bati prepare for a blockbuster clash against the Kangaroos this Sunday in their second Rugby League World Cup match, coach Mick Potter says they will need to understand their opposition.
Speaking to the media after their 40-12 win over the Cook Islands, Potter says their preparation will be pretty much standard, and he is confident they can upset the Australians.
He says they understand that the Kangaroos will have a plan for them, but time will tell.
The coach says he is really excited about the young players coming into the team and their ability to step up on the big stage.
Meanwhile, the Bati currently top Pool A after Round 1.
The Bati will face the Kangaroos at 9.05pm on Sunday.
In other Round 2 matches, Tonga will face Lebanon at 9.05pm on Friday, while Papua New Guinea will meet Samoa at 4.25pm on Saturday.
England will take on France at 6.35pm, while New Zealand will play the Cook Islands at 5.05pm on Sunday.
