Team Fiji's third gold medal came in the mixed 4x50 metres medley relay, where Young and McCutcheon teamed up with Samuel Yalimaiwai and Grace Khelan.

McCutcheon started the relay with the backstroke, followed by Yalimaiwai in the breaststroke. Young powered through in the butterfly, while Khelan finished strongly in the freestyle.

They clocked a time of 1 minute and 48.59 seconds.

On Saturday, Team Fiji broke the Oceania record in the mixed 50 metres freestyle relay.

Team Fiji now has six gold medals and two bronze medals.

Team Manager Sharon Smith says she is proud of the performances from all the swimmers.

She says that the swimmers are competing for a spot in the team that will compete at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
