Suva FC has moved to the top of the Extra Premier League standings after a hard-fought 1-0 win over rivals Rewa FC at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Faizal Ali was the hero for the capital city side after coming off the bench and scoring with his first touch in the 61st minute.
The win takes Suva to 14 points with a superior goal difference, pushing them ahead of Labasa FC and Ba FC, who are also on 14 points.
Suva has also impressed defensively this season, conceding only three goals in seven matches while scoring 16.
Labasa remains second on the table after a 2-1 win over Ba, while Ba stays third because of a better goal difference then Rewa and Lautoka FC, who are fourth and fifth respectively.

Attention now turns to Round 8 this Sunday, with several key matches expected to further shape the title race.
Lautoka will host Labasa FC in a top-of-the-table clash, while league leaders Suva face an in-form Nasinu side. Rewa will look to bounce back against Navua, Ba takes on Tailevu Naitasiri, and Nadroga will host Nadi in Sigatoka.
