Fiji's long-distance specialist Yesnil Karan finished 21st in the men's 5,000 metres final this morning at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
He recorded a season's best time of 14 minutes 35.76 seconds.
Earlier this week, Karan also recorded a season's best of 4 minutes 12.28 seconds to finish 12th in the men's one-mile event.
In other results, Team Fiji's Lal Chand Prasad and Surendra Prasad lost 2-0 to Northern Ireland in the men's bowling pairs, while Elizabeth Moceiwai defeated Kenya's Eunice Wambui Mbugua in the women's singles.
Coming up today, Gerard Takayawa will face Northern Ireland's Adam Hall in the men's +100kg elimination round of 16 at 9:36pm.
