The Fiji Bati has named a strong 40-member extended squad for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, featuring NRL stars Viliame Kikau, Apisai Koroisau, Jahream Bula and Jacob Saifiti alongside a number of Super League players.
Wests Tigers are strongly represented through Bula, Sunia Turuva, Koroisau and the Fainu brothers Latu, Samuela and Sione, while Josese Lanyon has also been part of the Tigers system.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs powerhouse Kikau is also included, while Newcastle Knights prop Saifiti adds further experience to the forward pack.
Five players currently playing in the Super League have been selected, with Maika Sivo representing Leeds Rhinos, Semi Valemei and Jason Qareqare playing for Castleford Tigers, Waqa Blake with Bradford Bulls and Taane Milne with Huddersfield Giants.
The extended squad also includes Jethro Rinakama, Joseph Litidamu, Mikaele Senibua, Brandon Wakeham, Kurt Donoghoe, Caleb Navale, Kitione Kautoga, Solomone Saukuru, Cyrus Stanley, Elijah Keung, Michael Waqa and Emosi Ravosai.
Jordan Miller, Bayleigh Benty-Hape, Ronald Philitoga, Melikiseteki Nacaginimasei, Jordan Leiu, Kylan Mafoa, Jope Rauqe, Terrell Kalo Kalo, Jimmy Ngutlik, Brenden Naicori, Senivalati Vunibola, Masake Kurukitoga and Huanga Tokona have also been selected.
Former Salford Red Devils, Leigh Leopards and Featherstone Rovers forward Ben Nakubuwai, who is now playing in Queensland's state competition, is also part of the squad.
The squad is expected to be trimmed before the World Cup kicks off next month, where Fiji is pooled with Australia, New Zealand and the Cook Islands.
