Matasawa wins Tui Suva title after 15 years

Matasawa ended a 15-year title drought by claiming the Tui Suva Shield 2026 volleyball tournament, defeating the Ucuna Blues in the final yesterday.

Team captain Waisake Rabuatoka told fijivillage News the victory was deeply meaningful, describing it as a tribute to generations of family members who have supported the team over the years.

In addition to the Shield, Matasawa also claimed the Sun Junior Grade title, capping off a successful tournament for the club.

The team also took home $1,000 in prize money.

In other finals, Toba secured the Junior Grade championship, while Yadako claimed the Women’s title, rounding out an action-packed tournament.
