Manchester United have strengthened their push for a Champions League spot with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a first-half strike from Matheus Cunha.
The defeat adds to Chelsea’s struggles, as the Blues slump to a fourth consecutive Premier League loss without scoring, a run rarely seen in recent years.
Despite controlling possession, shots and expected goals, Chelsea were unable to make their chances count.
The breakthrough came in the 43rd minute when Bruno Fernandes set up Cunha, who finished clinically with a first-time effort.
This marks United’s second league win at Stamford Bridge since 2002, while frustrated home fans reacted at full-time by booing and chanting “we want our Chelsea back” as pressure continues to grow.
In other matches, Leeds United beat Wolverhampton Wolves 3-nil, AFC Bournemouth defeated Newcastle United 2-1, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton drew 2-all, while Brentford and Fulham played out a nil-all draw.
