Labasa coach positive ahead of CVC season opener against Rewa
The first game at the beginning of the season is always tough, as players return from a long off-season break.

This was highlighted by Labasa head coach Alvin Chand, who is hoping the boys will deliver the expected results in the first leg of the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion match against Rewa this afternoon.

He says they have been preparing accordingly for the past four weeks.

Chand says they have lost seven players to Extra Bula FC while some have joined other local teams.

However, several players will continue to wear the red and white jersey.

He adds that Akeimi Ralulu, Ashnil Raju, Melvin Mani and Simione Ragoneturaga are some of the seasoned players from last year, while youth players such as Kitione Raleqeleqe, Rohan Naidu and Bhavitesh Naidu will strengthen the team.

Chand also mentioned that fans can expect a good game and that the team is prepared for positive results.

The first leg of the CVC will be played at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori at 3pm.
