Extra Bula FC captain Roy Krishna has credited teamwork and strong fan support following their impressive 2-1 win over table leaders Auckland FC in Round 5 of the OFC Pro League, as the regular season came to a close.
Krishna, who scored the winning goal, says he is grateful for every minute, every challenge, and every moment throughout the campaign.
He acknowledged the fans who turned out in numbers at The Furnace, saying their support played a key role in lifting the players morale.
He says the team felt the energy, cheers and the beat of the drums throughout the match.
Krishna also paid tribute to his Fiji national team teammate and Ba representative, the late Tuimasi Manuca, revealing the significance behind his goal celebration.
He says the goal held special meaning as he celebrated it in Manuca’s signature style.
He adds that while Manuca is gone, he will never be forgotten.
