Team Fiji athlete Sitiveni Konataci finished ninth in the men's discus throw F42-44/F61-64 final this morning at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
Konataci recorded a season's best throw of 27.54 metres.
In other results, Yeshnil Karan finished 12th in the One Mile heats, Kelera Mudunasoko placed fifth in the women's 200 metres breaststroke heats, and Jasmine Daunakamakama advanced to the semi-finals of the women's 57kg division with a commanding 4-1 victory over Sri Lanka's Keshani Hansika.
Later tonight, Elizabeth Moceiwai will resume her women's singles sectional campaign at 7.30pm, before Fiji's men's pairs bowling team returns to action in its sectional match at 8.55pm.
In weightlifting, Taniela Tuisuva Rainibogi will compete in the men's 110kg event, which gets underway at 8.30pm tonight.
Meanwhile, Australia continues to lead the medal tally with 47 gold, 21 silver and 35 bronze medals. Canada is second with 14 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals, while England sits third with 12 gold, 27 silver and 17 bronze medals.
