As the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side continues its preparations for the Valladolid 7s in Spain, coach Osea Kolinisau says they are ensuring they do not over-commit numbers at the breakdowns, as this was one of their weaknesses in Hong Kong.

Kolinisau says players also need to make better decisions on the field and improve communication.

He also highlighted that they are polishing their defence because in Hong Kong, players were bouncing off tackles too easily.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side is currently fifth on the World Rugby Sevens Championship points table following their fifth-place finish in Hong Kong last month.

They will open their campaign in Spain against France next Friday at 11.40pm. They will then play the USA at 4.24am next Saturday before meeting hosts Spain at 12.12am next Sunday in their final pool match.
