Kolinisau calls for consistency ahead of Australia semi-final

The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s team will need to maintain the flair, discipline and consistency displayed in their quarter-final victory over New Zealand as they prepare to face Australia in the semi-finals of the Valladolid Championship in Spain.

Head coach Osea Kolinisau says improving numbers at the breakdown was a key focus area heading into the quarter-final, and the players delivered on that plan with an emphatic 40-0 win over New Zealand.

He stressed that discipline remains crucial at this stage of the competition and praised the players for maintaining their composure and structure throughout the quarter-final encounter.

Fiji will take on Australia in the first semi-final at 8.44pm, with a place in the Cup final at stake.

Argentina will face South Africa in the second semi-final at 9.06pm.

The Cup final is scheduled for 2.26am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will face Spain in the seventh-place play-off at 11.04pm.
