Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s Coach, Richard Walker says their defence needs to be really sharp when they take on New Zealand in the Hong Kong 7s this weekend.
Walker highlighted this to fijivillage Sports from their base in Hong Kong, saying they have been reviewing the Australia and New Zealand final in Cape Town, where Australia won.
He says this was because all of their kickoffs were precise, while their defensive setup around the rucks was quick.
The Fijiana coach says Australia stayed connected on defence and attacked the Kiwis going forward, adding our girls need to understand that.

Walker says they have watched that game a couple of times, also the game where they beat New Zealand at the Ignite Sevens at the end of last year, just to give the girls some positive reinforcement that they can do it.
The Fijiana 7s side’s first pool match will be against Japan at 8.44pm Friday.
They will then take on Brazil at 12.01am Saturday before meeting New Zealand at 5.01pm Saturday in their final pool match.
The women’s Cup quarter-finals will start at 9.13pm Saturday, the semi-finals will be held at 5.14pm Sunday, and the final is scheduled for 10.35pm Sunday.
