Fiji set for multiple finals at Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin tonight

The Fiji athletics team began their campaign today at the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin, Australia, with several athletes competing across track and field events. In the men’s 400m senior heats, Jeremiah Rogo produced a time of 47.84 seconds to finish sixth.

A total of 15 athletes competed in the event. In the Men’s 100m Para Ambulant preliminaries, Jimi Onitoro clocked 12.91 seconds and was placed 21st overall. Meanwhile, Sunia Raitava recorded a jump of 4.38 metres to secure fifth place in the Men’s long jump Masters category.

At 7pm, Frederico Miller and Waisiki Komainaqoro will compete in the Open Men's Long Jump Finals, while Lowata Lewageena will compete in the Open Women's Javelin Throw finals at 7.10pm.
