The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, has congratulated all schools, students, teachers, coaches, parents, guardians and supporters who participated in the 2026 Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve competitions, which concluded at HFC Bank Stadium.
Radrodro extended his congratulations to the 2026 Deans champions, with Ratu Navula College claiming the Under-14 title, Ratu Kadavulevu School winning the Under-15 title, Suva Grammar School securing the Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 titles, and Lelean Memorial School taking the Under-19 championship.
He also congratulated Nasinu Secondary School for winning the Under-16 Weet-Bix Raluve title and MGM High School for claiming the Under-18 championship.
Radrodro says congratulations to all young athletes who represented their schools with commitment, discipline and pride.
He says to every team that competed, you should also be proud of your effort, determination and sportsmanship.
The Minister highlighted the important role of school rugby in developing discipline, teamwork, resilience and leadership, while strengthening school pride and community spirit.
He reminded students that, regardless of their sporting ambitions or future career paths, education must remain their priority.
He says never lose sight of your education and continue to work hard in the classroom while pursuing your sporting ambitions
Radrodro also encouraged students to accept both victory and defeat with humility, respect and good sportsmanship.
He acknowledged the valuable contributions of school leaders, teachers, coaches, parents, officials, medical personnel, volunteers, sponsors and partners who supported the competitions.
