Students and staff of the Fiji School for the Blind were treated to a Diwali celebration this week as Digicel Fiji brought the Festival of Lights to the school.
Now in its fourth year, the initiative forms part of Digicel Fiji's commitment to supporting communities through meaningful moments that bring people together.
The celebration allowed students to experience the sounds, flavours and traditions of Diwali in a familiar and accessible environment, surrounded by their peers, teachers and the wider school community.
The event featured traditional Indian cuisine, festive treats and gifts.
Digicel Pacific Hub Markets Regional Chief Executive Officer Steve Long says the annual celebration reflects Digicel Fiji's belief that meaningful connections are built through shared experiences.
Long says they are deeply committed to fostering inclusivity and supporting the communities they serve.
He says celebrating Diwali with the students of the Fiji School for the Blind reflects their ongoing dedication to making a positive social impact.
Long adds that the festival is a reminder of the importance of giving back, and they are proud to be part of creating joyful and lasting memories for the students.
He says the event also reflects its "broader With You purpose", reinforcing the belief that strong communities are built when people come together to share experiences, celebrate culture and create meaningful connections.
