Ba has reclaimed the top spot in the Extra Premier League standings after thrashing Tailevu Naitasiri 9-0 in Round 8 over the weekend.

Labasa sits second on the table after beating Lautoka 2-1, with both teams level on 17 points but separated by goal difference.

Suva had briefly gone top after defeating Rewa 1-0 last Wednesday, but slipped to third place following a 3-1 loss to Nasinu.

Navua also pulled off a major upset, edging defending champions Rewa 1-0, while Nadroga defeated Nadi 2-1.

Nasinu climbed to sixth place after its impressive win over Suva, while Tailevu Naitasiri remains at the bottom of the table and is still searching for its first victory of the season.

Attention now turns to this weekend’s matches, with Ba set to host defending champions Rewa at 3pm at 4R Stadium on Sunday in one of the biggest clashes of the round.

Labasa will host Tailevu Naitasiri, Nadi faces Lautoka, Suva will meet Nadroga, while Navua takes on Nasinu.
