Army Green focus on mental fitness ahead of Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s

As the Army Green team prepares for the upcoming Fiji Bitter 7s Tournament in Labasa, team coach Jonetani Mudrelagi is urging youths to take up sports instead of wasting time on activities that can bring despair into their lives such as drugs.

He is encouraging young people to replace this with training, determination, and setting achievable goals before progressing to more challenging ones.

Mudrelagi says he is very grateful to the organisers for setting the theme “Say No to Drugs” and “Keep Rugby Clean”, especially given the growing number of issues involving youths in Fiji.

He says one area that needs improvement is mental fitness, which significantly affected the team during the Fiji Sports Council Grassroots tournament in Suva.

Mudrelagi explains that the team remains committed to its game plan and is determined not to underestimate any opponent.

The coach says the team is determined to win this year’s Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s.

The Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s Tournament will be held from Thursday to Saturday.
