Teenager Archie Gray scored his first senior goal as Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from consecutive Premier League defeats with a narrow 1-nil win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The 19-year-old struck just before half-time, finishing from close range after Palace failed to clear a corner.

Spurs pushed for a second, with Wilson Odobert hitting the post and Richarlison having two goals ruled out for offside.

Crystal Palace created chances through Jean-Philippe Mateta and Maxence Lacroix but failed to register a second-half shot on target, falling to a third straight league defeat.

The victory lifts Tottenham to 11th in the table, one point behind ninth-placed Palace.
