The Yamacia 7s team has been kicked out of the Fiji Rugby Super 7s Series after they failed to show up for their last game on Saturday.

They failed to show up for the game after a disciplinary committee suspended their star player Sevuloni Mocenacagi for twelve matches.

Mocenacagi got two red cards in the tournament.

He committed a dangerous tackle on a Ratu Filise player in the first incident and in the second incident, he threw the rugby ball at the referee after his brother Kavekini Tabu was yellow carded.

Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O'Connor says the Yamacia 7s team has indicated that they do not value the opportunity they were given and there are many other teams that have shown interest to be part of the series.

The Yamacia Rugby Club has now apologised saying they were really frustrated with their performance and the result was just too hard to take.

It says they were so blinded by all that had happened in a short period of time and didn’t realise that they had another game to finish.

The club says they respect the decision by the FRU even though they were not told anything until they saw it on the media.

Yamacia says they will learn and come back stronger.
