Will the Broncos risk their captain or hope they can make it through to the preliminary finals without him?
That's the gamble facing Broncos coach Wayne Bennett with the hamstring injury to Darius Boyd to be given a thorough examination today to see whether it is likely to hold up to the stress of 80 minutes of finals against the Panthers at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
The winner of this match will go to Melbourne to take on the Storm in the semifinals next week while the winner of the Eels and Cowboys match will go up to face the Roosters.
The Broncos will take on the Panthers at 9.55pm Friday while the Eels will take on the Cowboys at 9.40pm Saturday.
