All Blacks and Crusaders lock Sam Whitelock has emerged as a target for French side Toulon, according to reports from French Media.
The 84 Test lock's current deal with New Zealand Rugby is up at the conclusion of this year's series with the touring British and Irish Lions, with European sides snapping at the chance to sign the 28‑year old.
The loss of Whitelock would be another blow for New Zealand Rugby, having already seen the likes of Aaron Cruden, Charlie Faumuina and Steven Luatua pledge their futures to European club sides.
Meanwhile, the Crusaders will face the Highlanders at 6.55pm this Saturday, the Force will take on the Reds at 10.30pm Thursday night while the Chiefs will play the Blues at 6.35pm Friday.
