Fiji Bitter Marist 7s defending champion Tabadamu Blue says they will defend their title again this weekend.
Tabadamu coach Jale Melovatu believes the competition will be tougher this year and they are prepared for it.
Melovatu adds that former national rep Setefano Cakau will be playing for them this weekend alongside other former reps like Sitiveni Waqa, their captain Jone Vota, Emori Waqa, Nasoni Roko and Leo Naikasau and last year’s Player of the Final Teri Tamani.
Tabadamu Blue beat the Newnet Yasawa 24-12 last year and also crowned champions in 2015 when they beat the Hideaway Hurricanes 25-14.
Tabadamu Blue is pooled with Trail Blazers, Naboutini Rugby and Red Diamond in Pool 1.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held this Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the commentaries of the selected quarter finals, semi finals and final on our sister station Viti FM.
Meanwhile the Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 7th to the 9th of next month.
