Unbeaten England coach Eddie Jones has taken a leaf from All Blacks rival Steve Hansen's book in declaring his all‑conquering team is not as good as their illustrious predecessors.
Hansen pricked the bubble of hype around the All Blacks when he claimed the 2016 team could not be rated New Zealand's best ever because Fred Allen's side 1967 side was "the greatest ever".
Jones was singing from the same sheet after England notched their 13th consecutive victory of his coaching era in beating Australia 37‑21 at Twickenham on Sunday.
The wily Australian said his group were not as good as England's 2003 Rugby World Cup winning team.
Jones says that their challenge is to be at their best by the 2019 World Cup.
Jones says that England were a bit scatty in the first half, but showed composure, resilience and the ability to adapt in the second half.
England defeated Australia 37-21 at Twickenham early this morning.
