Saturday's final Test between the Wallabies and British and Irish Lions is far from a dead rubber, according to Wallabies lock Nick Frost, with the side desperate for one last shot at the visitors.

Frost says there is a bit of fire in the belly from the last couple of games, and they are playing in Sydney, for a lot of the boys, that is their hometown.

He says they are not only playing for their nation, they are also playing for their family.

The British and Irish Lions series is already wrapped up after a wild and controversial second Test in Melbourne, with the visitors securing the last-minute win.

Saturday's Test looms as the last chance the Australians will have to face the Lions, with the next series not scheduled until 2037.

For the Wallabies, the schedule beyond the Lions series is far from easy, if not as demanding.

They will begin their Rugby Championship schedule with two Tests in South Africa against the world champions Springboks, before facing Argentina, who beat the Lions in Dublin, in two home Tests.

The Bledisloe Cup follows, with the Wallabies set for a jam-packed Spring Tour that includes a rematch with England and Ireland, along with France and Italy.

Frost knows that a win against the Lions will solidify their belief and the growing support around the team, following Saturday's sensational performance in defeat.

The Wallabies play the Lions at 10.05pm Saturday at Accor Stadium.
