Australia defeated France in the first semi-final 40-0 while USA defeated the Black Ferns 19-17 in the second semi-final.
Australia defeated Spain 31-5 in their first pool game, thumped Fiji 35-7 in their second match while drew with Canada 26 points all in their third match.
Meanwhile, host USA beat Brazil 27-0, thrashed Ireland 45-7 and lost to France 24-14.
USA defeated Canada 29-26 in the quarterfinal while Australia thrashed Russia 38-0 in the quarterfinals.
In other results, New Zealand beat France 31-14 in the bronze final, Spain defeated Canada in the fifth place playoffs while England thumped Japan 36-14 in the 9th place playoffs.
