USP Women’s Rugby 7s team captain Lice Tikonamuamua is excited to lead her team for the first time in the 47th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s this weekend.

She says this will be the first time they will participate in a big tournament, such as the Marist 7s.

Tikonamuamua says the team is looking forward to showcasing their talent during the three-day tournament.

She is urging Fijians to come in numbers to support the growth of grassroots rugby in the country.

USP Women are in pool A with Army Women and FPTL Nasinu.

The Women and the Under 21 competition will kick-off tomorrow, while the men’s competition begins on Friday.

A total of 47 games will be played on Day 1 of the Marist 7s.
