Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter believes there is a lack of experience in the halves for Fiji ahead of the Rugby League World Cup.
With Rabbitohs scrum-half John Sutton missing out again at this year’s World Cup, Potter says there are big shoes to fill in the scrumhalf and stand-off positions.
Potter adds the Bati has a lot of good forwards and outside backs and the big challenge for them is to find a good halves combination.
Meanwhile Korbin Sims and Apisai Koroisau will not feature in this weekend’s Tri Series Exhibition match against the PNG Kumuls and the Australian Kangaroos.
The Tri Nations Series will start at 5.30pm Saturday with the Fiji Bati taking on the PNG Kumuls, the Kangaroos will face the Kumuls in the second game before the Bati will take on the Kangaroos in the last game which consist 40 minutes each game.
The Fiji Bati will be based in Townsville for their opening two World Cup matches against the USA on the 28th of this month at 9.20pm and Wales on November 5th at 8.30pm before travelling to Canberra to meet Italy on 10 November at 8.40pm.
