Ben Te'o has emerged as a fitness concern for England's opening Test with Australia after he missed a key practice session yesterday.

Te'o was forced to miss training ahead of Saturday's showdown at due to muscle soreness.

The uncapped 29‑year‑old rugby league convert is competing with Luther Burrell and Owen Farrell to make his debut at inside centre.

He is famed for his power in attack and defence and has been compared to Sonny Bill Williams.

Te’o previously played rugby league for the Wests Tigers, Brisbane Broncos and South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL before switching to rugby union.

England will name their team to face the Wallabies on Thursday.

Australia will meet England at 10pm Saturday.
