Setareki Tamanivalu will not only be representing the Crusaders when he runs out to play against the Lions in the Super Rugby final but will be representing his home country Fiji and his family from Yasawa.
The former Lelean Memorial School student had earlier said in an interview with Fijivillage that every time he runs out to the field, he will be flying the Fiji flag and is representing his family back home.
Rugby pundits around the world have similar thoughts and analysis about Fiji born players when they feature in any final of big competitions around the world.
A few months back three Fijians featured in the Top 14 final in France and now Tamanivalu is the only Fijian to play in the Super Rugby final this weekend.
Tamanivalu scored two impressive tries against the Chiefs last weekend with the first seeing him crash through tackles off a slick set‑piece before the second was well taken on the right wing.
The Lions will host the Crusaders at 2am Sunday.
