Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro will play for the Police Blues at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s this month.
Tabakaucoro is currently in camp with the Police 7s team in Sigatoka as they are expected to field two teams in the Marist 7s.
The 24-year-old is expected to play alongside former national rep Livai Ikanikoda, speedster Eroni Sau, Keponi Paul and Rusiate Matai.
Tabakaucoro believes that this will help in his development and he will also learn faster especially with one of the top sevens teams in the country.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held on the 24th and 25th of this month at the ANZ Stadium.
Meanwhile Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has already said that Tabakaucoro will need to prove himself at the local tournaments if he wants a spot in the national team.
Baber will name his final 12 for the Las Vegas 7s tomorrow.
Barring any upsets, Fiji is expected to meet either Canada, Wales or France in the quarter finals.
Fiji will take on Japan at 12.09pm this Saturday in the first pool match.
We will take on Scotland at 3.08pm Saturday while Fiji plays its final pool match against Australia at 9.50am Sunday.
