CK’s Ezy Buy Tabadamu Blues are on track to defend their title at the 43rd Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after beating Humes Rugby Team 45-0 in their first round of eliminations match.
They will now play Army Red in the second round of eliminations.
Manager Ulaiasi Bolalailai says they have been struggling as a team even though they have won all their games and they will not rely on their past wins to boost their morale in winning this tournament.
Bolalailai says they have come into the tournament with a team of young players as there are only 2 players from last year’s winning team.
Meanwhile, in the second round of eliminations, Uluinakau will play Hideaway Hurricanes, Trezavant Naqarani will take on Wadigi Salvo, Veilomani Combo will face Wardens Gold while Police White will take on Ravuka Sharks.
Police Blue will face Nakelo Rugby Club, Tabadamu Red will play Ratu Filise and Nawaka will play Russia Red.
The second round of eliminations will start at 9am at the ANZ Stadium.
Meanwhile, you can catch the live commentaries of the quarterfinals from 12.55pm, the semifinals from 4.30pm and the final at 8pm on our sister station, Viti FM on 92, 92.2 and 92.6 FM.
