Eastern Saints coach Seremaia Bai says the Fiji Rugby Super 7s Series is a great opportunity and platform for local teams and players to showcase their talents.
Bai says a challenge the club faced through the past few months is that players put a hold to their training because of the restrictions in place.
He is urging young rugby players if they want to make something out of rugby, they will need to treat it as a professional career.
Eastern Saints is in pool B with Army, Dominion Brothers and Nawaka. Series leaders Police Blue are in Pool A with Stallions, Wadigi Salvo and Police White.
In Pool C while Raiwasa Taveuni is in Pool D with Tabadamu, LAR Barbarians and Ratu Filise. 16 men’s and 12 women’s teams will participate in the fourth leg of the Super Sevens Series this weekend.
The Men’s Series Champions will be awarded the inaugural Super 7s Series trophy and $20,000, the second-placed team will get $10,000 while the third-placed team receives $5000.
The final leg of the Super 7s Series will be held this Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
