Brisbane Broncos prop Payne Haas has been cleared to play for NSW in State of Origin Game I tonight.

The Blues will wait until the last moment to decide whether centre Stephen Crichton is fit to play.

While Haas has been cleared to play, Blues talisman Stephen Crichton will need to prove his fitness today to make the starting lineup.

The Canterbury captain and star centre is battling a corked quadricep he suffered in a collision during training on Monday, forcing him to leave the session early.

Meanwhile, Valentine Holmes is preparing to join a prestigious group that has played 20 games for Queensland.

The Blues take on the Maroons at 10.05 tonight at Suncorp Stadium.
