South Africa's chance of securing the 2016‑2017 World 7s series title in Paris has been significantly boosted by the return of playmaker Rosko Specman.
Specman missed the last two tournaments with a hamstring injury.
South Africa can secure the title by making the final in Paris.
They are currently on 157 points, 25 ahead of Fiji in second place.
Victory in Paris would give them an additional 22 points, making them uncatchable in London.
Second place would also provide them with 19 points, which combined with the minimum of one point for appearing in London, would also put them out of touch barring a disqualification.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will play Samoa in their first pool game of the Paris 7s at 8pm this Saturday.
Our second pool game is against Russia at 11.26pm Saturday and our final pool match is against Australia at 3.14am next Sunday.
The medal quarter finals will start at 8.28pm next Sunday, the medal semifinals will be played at 12.18am Monday while the medal final will be played at 3.33am Monday.
