Sowakula scores for Chiefs in comeback win over Blues

Fiji born Pita Gus Sowakula scored a try as the Chiefs made a remarkable comeback to beat the Blues 37-29 in their Super Rugby Match last night.

The Chiefs looked dead and buried at halftime after a rampant Blues side had thundered out to a 19-5 advantage.

Aaron Cruden returning to New Zealand after a stint in France came off the bench for the Chiefs to spark a comeback.

The highly-rated Blues dominated the first half with two tries from winger Rieko Ioane, who played with energy after losing his All Blacks spot in 2019.

Meanwhile, in another match last night, the Brumbies made a comeback against the Reds to win 27-24.

Henry Speight scored for the Reds but it was not enough for a win.

In another match this morning, the Sharks beat the Bulls 23-15.

In matches today, the Sunwolves will play the Rebels at 3.45pm and the Crusaders will take on the Waratahs at 6.05pm. tomorrow the Stormers will host the Hurricanes at 1.05am and the Jaguares will face the Lions at 11am.
